Natasha Herring is a Senior Consultant at Navigant, working on the Clean Energy Programs team. She graduated from Dartmouth College with an Environmental Engineering degree in 2013 and received a Master of Science in Global Energy Management from CU Denver Business School in 2017.
No matter the environment, she’s always seeking ways to increase the diversity pipeline into engineering and energy careers. She sits on the Dean’s Council at Thayer’s Engineering School, and she speaks and encourages engineering students at various universities and conferences to pursue STEM and careers in energy. She’s an active member in the National Society of Blacks Engineers (NSBE) nationally and locally. She mentors urban youth leaders and is a published author in the International Journal of Business and Social Science.
She has 5 years of experience in the energy industry, ranging from filling orders in a machine shop to evaluating utilities’ energy efficiency portfolios. In addition to crunching numbers, she enjoys project management, data collection, and tackling problems responsively, creatively and optimistically. She is interested in strategic management for today and tomorrow and how the energy industry will shift to prepare for the influx of millennials, women, and diverse energy leaders.
In addition to energy, Natasha is a systems thinker, who enjoys learning about and identifying system efficiencies or lack thereof in work spaces, airports while traveling or conversations about large societal issues.
